Despite advances in alternative numbering theory and flat earth sciences, The Rise of Skywalker is the ninth film in the nonology. Therefore it’s the conclusion. Martin Luther King, Jr’s review said it best, “Free at last, Free at last, Thank God almighty we are free at last.”

      1. Ha! Another similarity. My dad was a math person (chemical engineer at Gulf). Wasn’t a teacher, though he was offered a job teaching math at a private high school in Maine.

    1. Ugh. I know. One would think that with such a wonderful universe to work in they’d be able to do something new. Maybe it’s the toxic fandom that’s killed any creativity in the Star Wars universe, or Disney’s OVER-production, but it’s just strange to me that they keep having problems.

      1. I agree. For me it’s like they are so scared to move away from an algorithm that has proved successful in the past (and is loved by those toxic fans) that new releases have just become the most expensive fan fiction ever made. Like you say, given that universe, surely you should be able to tell a better story.

      2. I’m a bit hopeful though. That is, with the Mandalorian they’ve got “out” into the universe. Granted, they’re doing the space Lone Wolf and Cub, but it’s a start. Maybe if it does well they’ll be less afraid to step a bit farther out.
